Every dog is different, so Rich Simmons creates a personalized training plan that fits your schedule and budget.
Dog training is a partnership between the dog and the owner. You’ll learn how to reinforce positive behavior for life, with ongoing phone and email support included in most programs.
Misguided Mutts works with all breeds, from small companion dogs to large working breeds.
Based in the West Chester, PA area, Rich works with dog owners throughout southeastern Pennsylvania, northern Delaware, and northeastern Maryland.

Rich is dedicated to helping people better understand and communicate with their dogs.
His goal is not just to train dogs, but to empower owners with clarity, confidence, and practical skills they can use every day.
A lifelong dog lover, his journey began when his own dogs started presenting challenges. Determined to do better for them, he immersed himself in learning and applying effective, fair training methods.
While volunteering at a local open-intake shelter, he saw firsthand how many dogs were being surrendered for reasons that were completely fixable. His favorite dogs were the “knuckleheads” with big hearts and no manners, dogs who weren’t bad, just misunderstood.
He believes that with consistency, guidance, and the ability to hear “no” with clarity, many of these dogs could have thrived and stayed in their homes.
He has learned from some of the most respected names in the field, including Mark Goldberg, Chad Mackin, Cheri Lucas, Kayce Cover, Heather Beck, Sean O’Shea, the Monks of New Skete, and more.
Christina
Christina’s passion for dogs deepened when she entered the rescue world and adopted a feral dog named Stud Muffin. His journey from fear to trust taught her patience, empathy, and the importance of meeting each dog exactly where they are.
That experience shaped her approach to dog training. Christina believes every dog is an individual with their own history, needs, and pace. Her calm demeanor, gentle methods, and unwavering dedication help dogs and their people build lasting, meaningful relationships based on trust.
Outside of training, Christina is also a photographer with a special place in her heart for senior dogs, particularly those in the final chapter of their lives. Through her lens, she strives to honor their stories, preserve their dignity, and capture the quiet beauty of a life well loved.
